Nomads of Mongolia
At 16, I had the opportunity to travel to Mongolia and assist a friend’s family, led by Thomas Kelly, a renowned photojournalist whose editorial work has appeared in The New York Times, Time, Newsweek, and National Geographic. They had been guiding tours across the country for decades. Two years later, I returned to document two distinct nomadic lifestyles for my final high school project. This experience became the starting point of my journey into what I then thought filmmaking would be. It marked my first deep dive into the storytelling process, which captivated me from the beginning. Developing and producing that documentary revealed how much joy I find in making films — a passion that has continued to grow ever since.
